The Arab Open University (AOU) Bahrain has won the 2009 e-Government Excellence Award in the e-Economy category, as announced by jury members.

 The awards ceremony will be held in Shaikh Issa Cultural Centre on May 25, 2009 as part of the opening ceremony of the Bahrain International e-Government Forum 2009. The award will be presented by H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Committee of Information and Communication Technology (SCICT).
